CONTRACT
AWS DevOps Engineer
Role: AWS Dev Ops Engineer
Location: Remote - LATAM
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Responsibilities:
· Act as the first responder for internal tickets during work time
· Collaborate with development teams when needed to troubleshoot issues
· Under guidance from Senior Engineers perform upgrades, patches, and project work
· Onboard new applications by building CI/CD pipelines from existing templates
· Help document our runbooks, perform routine testing of runbooks
· Work with Developers on issues by reviewing logs, dashboards, and other monitoring tools
· Participate in larger projects and efforts with the team by taking on tasks related to improvements and new initiatives
· Research new tools and occasionally work on proof of concepts
· Contribute to our Infrastructure as Code repositories for Terraform and Ansible
· Test automation routinely and help improve documentation
Required Qualifications:
· Experience with Linux fundamentals such as scripting, system tuning, and operations
· Strong network troubleshooting skills
· Must have good communication skills
· At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a technical role
· Experience with some CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Github Actions, or Bamboo
· Experience with Kubernetes and Dockerized applications
· 3+ years working with AWS Cloud
· Experience with monitoring applications in AWS and Kubernetes
Preferred:
· Cloud, Linux, or Networking certifications (verifiable and not expired)
· Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python
· Computer Science background
· Expertise in Kubernetes, EKS, Terraform, and Cloud Formation, with experience in migrations to microservices
· Knowledge of Hashicorp products (nomad, vault, terraform, consul)
