Radiation Therapist

Job Description:
  • Deliver precise radiation treatments according to the oncologist's treatment plan and prescriptions.
  • Position patients properly for treatment using immobilization devices and reference marks to ensure accuracy.
  • Operate linear accelerators, CT simulators, and other radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients, explaining treatment procedures and addressing concerns.
  • Educate patients and families about radiation therapy procedures, possible side effects, and self-care techniques.
  • Accurately document treatments administered, patient conditions, and equipment use in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Document and take action as required to rectify faults, problems or difficulties with the Linear accelerator and other equipment used for patient treatment.
  • Maintain clear communication with the radiation oncology team, including radiation oncologists and medical physicists to ensure treatment precision.
  • Participate in treatment planning discussions with the radiation oncology team.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment.
Job Requirement:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Therapy.
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in radiation therapy.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
