Position : Optometrist
Basic Salary : RM3,800 - RM 4,000
Working Hours : 10.00 am - 7.00 pm
Working Days : Tuesday - Saturday (Off Sunday & Monday)
Location : No 100 Jalan Batik 2/3 Taman Batik 08000 Sungai Petani Kedah.
Job Description :
1) Conduct Comprehensive Eye Examinations:

• Perform thorough eye exams using various diagnostic techniques to assess vision and eye health.
• Utilize specialized equipment to measure visual acuity, eye coordination, and refractive errors.

2) Diagnose and Manage Eye Conditions:

• Identify and treat common eye conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
• Diagnose and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.

3) Prescribe Corrective Lenses:

• Recommend and prescribe appropriate corrective lenses (glasses or contact lenses) based on patient needs.
• Provide guidance on lens types and options to ensure optimal visual correction.

4) Provide Eye Care Education:

• Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including the use of corrective lenses, eye hygiene, an preventive measures.
• Advise patients on the importance of regular eye examinations and early detection of eye diseases.

5) Maintain Accurate Records:

• Document patient history, examination results, diagnoses, and treatment plans accurately in the patient records.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards.

6) Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals:

• Work closely with other healthcare providers, including ophthalmologists and primary care physicians, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary for further diagnosis and treatment.

7) Stay Updated with Advancements in Optometry:

• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in optometry, including new diagnostic techniques, treatment options, and technologies.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
