Position Summary:
We are seeking skilled and dynamic Advanced Trauma and Emergency Nurses to join our fast-paced emergency department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing immediate and life-saving care to patients with critical injuries or acute medical conditions. The role requires rapid decision-making, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients in the emergency room, delivering swift and accurate interventions based on the severity of the condition.
• Provide emergency care for trauma patients, including those suffering from severe injuries, shock, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Administer life-saving interventions such as airway management, resuscitation, IV therapy, and wound care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, surgeons, and paramedics, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust care plans as necessary based on real-time data.
• Assist in preparing patients for surgery or emergency procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and medications are readily available.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient conditions, treatments administered, and medical interventions performed.
• Educate patients and families on follow-up care, injury prevention, and trauma recovery.
• Ensure adherence to infection control procedures and sterile techniques in trauma care settings.
• Participate in emergency drills and simulations to maintain readiness for mass casualty incidents.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Malaysian Nursing Board registration.
• Advanced Trauma and Emergency Care Post Basic qualification is highly desirable.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in emergency nursing, trauma care, or a related field.
• Proficient in managing emergency conditions such as trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and shock.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Strong ability to make quick decisions and prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Detailed knowledge of emergency equipment, including defibrillators, ventilators, and trauma kits.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in managing critical trauma cases such as motor vehicle accidents, severe fractures, head injuries, and burns.
• Familiarity with triage systems and mass casualty protocols.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide less experienced staff during emergency situations.
• Competence in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for real-time patient updates and documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
