Job Overview:
The Linen Maid is responsible for managing and maintaining the linen inventory within a hotel or hospitality facility. This role includes the cleaning, folding, and organizing of bed linens, towels, and other textile items, ensuring they are ready for use in guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities. The Linen Maid plays a crucial role in maintaining hygiene standards and supporting the smooth operations of the housekeeping team.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, sort, and launder dirty linens, including bed sheets, towels, and uniforms.
Inspect linens for damage or stains and report issues to the supervisor.
Fold and store clean linens in an organized and tidy manner.
Distribute clean linens to designated areas and restock linen carts for housekeeping staff.
Ensure proper handling of linens to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the linen room and laundry areas.
Follow all safety and hygiene guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and laundry equipment.
Assist in the inventory management of linen stock and request replenishments when necessary.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in all linen-related tasks.
Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed.
