Overview:
The Head Chef will be responsible to lead our kitchen team in delivering authentic English cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for traditional dishes, creativity in menu development, and the ability to manage, mentor and motivate kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and design seasonal menus featuring traditional English dishes and innovative specials.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Manage food inventory, ordering, and cost control to maintain budgetary goals.
  • Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with the management team to enhance the restaurant's culinary offerings and overall guest experience.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and modern English cuisine.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.

The skilled and passionate Line Cook is an essential part of our kitchen team at The Gentry. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes according to our established standards and ensuring a smooth workflow in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items, focusing on traditional English cuisine.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications while executing dishes with precision.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members during peak hours to ensure timely service.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the Head Chef.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a professional kitchen preferred.
  • Knowledge of English cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Food handling certification is a plus.
Position: Head Barista
Location: The Gentry, Fraser Hills
Reports to: Restaurant Owner, Manager Type: Full-time
Overview:
The knowledgeable and charismatic Head Barista at The Gentry. Crafts traditional and contemporary beverages while also providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. She/He will be in charge of customer experiences, attending and addressing all customers and ensuring top level service and experiences are delivered to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve beverages, including classic English tea’s, coffees and drinks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, following health and safety regulations.
  • Upsell beverages and promote daily specials to maximize sales.
  • Manage bar inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, engaging with guests to create a positive experience.
  • Communicate & collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to facilitate efficient service.
Qualifications:
  • Previous barista experience in a restaurant or bar setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of café recipes, tea’s and custom beverages.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
  • Manage cashier, tally orders and ensuring orders are completed in a timely order

Our enthusiastic and friendly Servers to provide exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Our servers have a passion for quality food and service, and are familiar with all our dishes and beverages.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and escort guests to their tables, providing menus and explaining daily specials.
  • Take and process food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring guests' preferences are met.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly and with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and tabletop settings.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely communication of orders and specials.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a server in a restaurant environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage, particularly English cuisine, is a plus. Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy service periods.

Clean Agents are responsible for ensuring that all areas of the restaurant are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained. This role involves a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall cleanliness and safety of the restaurant, enhancing the experience for our customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize all dining areas, restrooms, kitchen, and other public spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Wash tables, chairs, and other dining utensils, ensuring they are presentable for guests.
  • Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas, including entryways and parking lots.
  • Assist in periodic deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet cleaning and window washing.
  • Replenish supplies in restrooms, such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Follow safety protocols and health regulations to maintain a safe environment.
