Imaging Specialist
Responsibilities
Develop and implement X-ray and computed tomography (CT) imaging techniques.
Optimize imaging parameters and protocols to achieve high-resolution and accurate results.
Evaluate and select appropriate X-ray and CT sources based on application requirements, such as resolution, penetration power, and beam quality.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations related to X-ray and CT imaging.
Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments of different X-ray and CT sources and technologies.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in X-ray and CT imaging technology and incorporate new methods into existing workflows.
Conduct research and development to improve imaging techniques and expand the capabilities of X-ray and CT inspection.
Ensure all X-ray and CT imaging processes comply with relevant industry standards and safety guidelines.
Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for X-ray and CT imaging.
Educational Background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Specialized coursework or experience in X-ray and CT imaging, non-destructive testing (NDT), is highly desirable.
Skills and Experience
Strong understanding of X-ray and CT physics and imaging principles.
Experience with X-ray and CT inspection equipment and software.
Proficiency in image processing and analysis techniques for both X-ray and CT imaging.
Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations related to X-ray and CT imaging.
Experience with AI and ML techniques for image analysis and defect detection is a plus.
Experience with data management and statistical analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R).
