Inspect guest rooms, public areas, swimming pools, gymnastics room, common walkways of Golf staff hostel, etc, after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards.
Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning and update status of departing guest rooms.
Assist Housekeeping Department in supervising daily Housekeeping activities.
Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Laundry, Engineering and Front Office.
Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Office Department.
Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in assignment sheets/workboards.
Communicate and handover unresolved issues to next shift Housekeeping Team.
Assist Executive Housekeeper in training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and coaching employees.
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
Contact Engineering Department directly for any urgent repairs.
Deliver guest requests and set up furniture items in guest rooms as requested.
Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas, including debris, room service food and beverage trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens and trash placed near Housekeeper carts.
Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipments.
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior as and when necessary.
Job Requirements:
Minimum SPM, Certificate or Diploma in any field or equivalent.
Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience with hands on experience in cleaning and maintenance tasks in the Housekeeping field in hospitality and/or hotel industry.
Good knowledge and experience in industrial cleaning equipment and products.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
