Fire Safety & ERP Officer
Overview:
He/she will be responsible for coordinating the execution and comprehensive enforcement of environmental monitoring programmes to ensure the protection of the surrounding environment in compliance with regulations and industry standards including the protection of employees and contractors.
This position primarily requires good foundation knowledge of environmental regulations and guidelines, with the ability to monitor, inspect, communicate and collaborate with various departments to inculcate a culture of environmental safety excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month

Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere and enforce environmental protection laws and regulations, fully monitor & practices the company's environmental protection plans and measures.
- Monitor and inspect the implementation of relevant environmental laws and regulations with the implementation performance.
- Coordinate and conduct environmental protection training, awareness sessions and campaigns periodically to improve environmental protection understanding among employees.
- Plan and execute environmental monitoring of emissions, waste gas, wastewater, noise, soil, and groundwater. Be involved in supervising monitoring activities, collecting & analyzing monitoring results/data and evaluating impact with proposed adequate mitigation measures to relevant department.
- Coordination, execution and implementation of collection, classification, storage, transfer, and disposal of hazardous solid waste and general solid waste according to applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare and ensure periodic Environmental Report submissions (local authorities) including environmental performance.
- Support & assist the operation of the environmental facilities to ensure that the facilities are functioning as intended and meet regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and conduct emergency response plans for environment-related incidents and collaborating with relevant departments to organize the environmental emergency drills periodically.
- Support & assist collaboration with internal teams, government agencies, and community stakeholders to build positive relationships and address environmental concerns.
- Support & assist engagement with Department of Environment officials and other third parties for environmental inspections.
- Complete other temporary tasks assigned by the Environmental Manager.
- Min Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related role, with minimum of 2 years’ experience preferably in crude/palm oil refinery, petrochemical or chemical manufacturing facility.
- Proficient in Malaysian environmental regulations and standards with proven track record in managing environment-related risks in crude/palm oil refinery or chemical manufacturing facility. Demonstrated experience in managing waste gas emissions, wastewater, and solid waste.
- Experience in handling environment-related emergencies at the workplace will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO14064 is an added advantage.
- Legal qualification/certification from DOE is preferable.
- Familiar with DOE’s online reporting such as e-SWIS, OER, My Premise and ESDR.
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
