30 years of experience in high-end training
Business Training's experience is built on solid ground: we have been providing cutting-edge ICT training sessions for about 20 years. Originally, Business Training specialized in IT technical and end-user trainings (Windows, MS Office, etc.). A few years ago, our company widened the range of its training catalogue to also meet the increasing demand for best-of-breed management courses (PRINCE2®, IPMA, ITIL, etc.).
To support this initiative, the organization aims to modernize its infrastructure by adopting a more cloud-native approach, while maintaining control over its IT environment. Due to confidentiality and security concerns, there is no plan to move parts of its infrastructure to the public cloud. Instead, the focus is on defining a comprehensive Private Cloud Strategy.
Key objectives
Adopt cloud-native principles where applicable.
Modernize the provisioning of compute resources with a focus on elasticity, automation (infrastructure as code, API integrations), and self-service capabilities.
Expand Storage capabilities to efficiently support a variety of needs (file, block, object Storage).
Ensure robust network security and governance in the private cloud environment, with a strong emphasis on automation.
The primary drivers behind this strategy are automation and low maintenance. By automating routine tasks, the goal is to free IT teams from low-value operations and eliminate bottlenecks in compute, Storage, and network/security processes. The future infrastructure should be easy to manage, hide complexity, and allow rapid response to new demands.
Proposed Phasing: As-is Analysis: Assess the current infrastructure to determine which components can be utilized in the private cloud strategy.
Team's Cloud-Oriented Mindset Discovery: Analyze current IT processes to identify necessary changes for adopting a cloud-first approach.
Private Cloud Definition & Architecture Design: Develop a high-level architecture that covers essential elements such as elasticity, scalability, security, and automation.
Implementation Strategy & Roadmap Definition: Develop a comprehensive roadmap for implementation, including detailed project deliverables and change management objectives.
