We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, a passion for culinary arts, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and daily kitchen operations.
Prepare and present high-quality Japanese dishes in accordance with our standards.
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure a harmonious working environment.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Japanese cooking techniques.
Collaborate with the Head Chef on special events and seasonal menus.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably in Japanese cuisine.
Strong knowledge of traditional Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
