Pottery Instructor

Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Pottery Instructor to join our Ceramics Studio. As a Pottery Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching wheel throwing techniques, glazing methods, and guiding students in their ceramic projects. This role requires both skill and passion, as you will demonstrate pottery techniques, offer individualized instruction, and cultivate an inspiring and creative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach wheel throwing, hand building and glazing techniques
- Guide students through their ceramic projects from start to finish; classes will be approx 1.5 hours long
- Demonstrate pottery skills and assist with technical challenges
- Foster a supportive and creative atmosphere for students of all skill levels and age groups
Qualifications:
- Strong pottery and ceramic skills
- Expertise in wheel throwing and glazing
- Experience in teaching or conducting workshops
- Passion for working with clay and nurturing creativity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to engage and instruct students of varying experience levels
- Art-related education or certification is a plus
