The main responsibility of the backend developer at Dasman Diabetes Institute is to maintain and develop the electronic health records system (EHR). The ability to work in a team environment, and to receive training and handover is a must. The primary goal of the position is to move the development process in-house.

Design and implement software solutions for the Business Logic Layer services.
Work in object-oriented, with relational database and an ORM.
Participate in technology analysis and recommendations.
Responsible for integrating third party solutions.
Execute tests and validate new features.
Support, investigate and solve different problems related to production, integrations and deployments.
Required Skills and Expertise:
Java / J2EE, Hibernate, Wildfly, Rabbit MQ, EJB, JPA, JTA, My SQL, REST API and HL7/MIRTH
Experience in software architecture, JAVA and Wildfly Application Server.
Experience with HL7.
Knowledge in object-oriented programming.
Experience and knowledge of agile methods is an asset.

Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or DEC in computer science. Experience: 3 - 5 years significant hands-on coding experience.
