The main responsibility of the backend developer at Dasman Diabetes Institute is to maintain and develop the electronic health records system (EHR). The ability to work in a team environment, and to receive training and handover is a must. The primary goal of the position is to move the development process in-house.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions for the Business Logic Layer services.

• Work in object-oriented, with relational database and an ORM.

• Participate in technology analysis and recommendations.

• Responsible for integrating third party solutions.

• Execute tests and validate new features.

• Support, investigate and solve different problems related to production, integrations and deployments.

Required Skills and Expertise:

Java / J2EE, Hibernate, Wildfly, Rabbit MQ, EJB, JPA, JTA, My SQL, REST API and HL7/MIRTH

• Experience in software architecture, JAVA and Wildfly Application Server.
• Experience with HL7.
• Knowledge in object-oriented programming.
• Experience and knowledge of agile methods is an asset.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or DEC in computer science.
Experience: 3 - 5 years significant hands-on coding experience.
