We are looking for a talented and skilled Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our multicultural and diverse team in Kuwait. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal functionality and durability of equipment and machines. Analyzes performance data to identify potential issues and implement preventive and proactive maintenance strategies. Conducting risk assessments and failure analyses, mitigates downtime and enhances equipment reliability. Collaborates with design teams to improve equipment robustness and lifespan. Ultimately, the role is to maximize uptime, minimize costs, minimize risks, and uphold safety standards. Duties and Responsibilities
Systematically defines, develops, monitors, and refines asset maintenance strategies using reliability centered maintenance (RCM) methodology generating value added preventive & predictive maintenance tasks and strategic spare part definition.
Conduct reliability analyses based on RCM and failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA).
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations to identify the underlying causes of failures and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Analyze equipment performance data, including failure data, maintenance records, and equipment histories, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to incorporate reliability considerations into the design and development of new equipment and systems.
Together with the Plant Maintenance Teams ensures that the Asset Maintenance strategy per Plant is in line with the asset performance targets.
Manages the Asset Life Cycle Plans and ensures Value-Based decisions are made for all disciplines and all areas in the replacement and overhaul of end-of-life assets.

Monitors and analyses the production losses and abnormally high maintenance costs, identifies bad actors, then finds ways to cost efficiently reduce those losses or high costs and eliminate the bad actors.
Monitors and reviews regularly downtime incurred during operation. Evaluates and analyzes reports and determines possible causes of troubles and prepares solutions to minimize or prevent occupancy.
Review regularly the planed preventive maintenance plan. Assess the effectiveness of the plan and initiate necessary revision to improve equipment availability.
Formulate training program to improve the ability of Reliability, Maintenance and Production teams.

Performs other tasks that maybe assigned from time to time by superior.
Job Qualification:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of steel industry mechanical machinery and equipment, preferably (it will be a differentiator) in Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), Continuous Billet Casting (CCM) and Reinforcement Bar Mill (Rebar Mill).
Minimum of 3 years’ specific experience with Mechanical Reliability Engineering, which must include practical application of the RCM methodology in steel industry machinery and equipment.
