Human Resources Coordinator (Local Contract) Job Summary As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will provide critical support in managing HR functions, with a particular focus on liaising with the Ministry of Education's Private Schools Department. You will ensure our school remains compliant with ministry regulations, facilitate smooth onboarding and offboarding processes, and maintain employee records in line with legal and internal requirements. Key Responsibilities
Acting as the primary liaison between the school and the Ministry of Education's Private Schools Department
Managing all HR administration tasks, including employee contracts, documentation, and compliance
Coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes in line with ministry guidelines
Ensuring the school's HR practices comply with ministry standards and regulatory requirements
Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
Maintaining accurate employee records, including visas, work permits, and ministry approvals
Assisting with payroll preparation and employee benefits administration
Supporting employee relations and handling inquiries from staff regarding HR policies
Ensuring timely submission of ministry reports and compliance documentation
About You
Proven experience working with the Ministry of Education’s Private Schools Department, with a deep understanding of ministry regulations and compliance
Previous experience in HR administration, preferably within an educational setting
Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and best practices in compliance
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail
Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with ministry officials, staff, and leadership teams
Proficient in using HR software, databases, and Microsoft Office
A proactive, adaptable, and problem-solving mindset
Knowledge of visa, work permit, and employment procedures related to private schools is a plus
Safeguarding Prospective candidates should submit the details of at least two previous employers as referees which must be their two most recent employers, covering a minimum of four years of employment, or all of their employment if the candidate has less than four years of experience. If a candidate has only one previous employer, two references can be provided from the same employer. For candidates in a school where the line manager is providing a reference, the reference must be countersigned by the Head Teacher or Principal.
