Role Description As a Generator Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of generators on-site. Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for, and ensures a safe and effective operation of generator systems
Works with technicians as the test generators and the electrical components to detect faults, hazards and the need for adjustments and or replacement
Assists with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on generators
Works with the logistics department to ensure availability of service and repair parts
Establishes a proactive maintenance program per manufacturer’s recommendations and Tech Exhibit specifications
Analyzes equipment data and trends; along with team members input, formulates the maintenance program procedures
Works to eliminate unscheduled outages and breakdowns
Leads job and safety analysis meeting with team members on potential hazards and near-miss incidents
Coordinates the installation, maintenance and repair of generators
Prepares estimates of time, labor and material requirements for various projects
Develops plans, prepares and execute schedules for preventative and routine maintenance
Implements and monitors lock-out and tag-out procedures
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience as Generator Mechanic
Ability to Inspects, troubleshoot and repair generators up to 30 KW
A high school diploma or equivalent, diesel mechanic trade certificate is an advantage
