Reports to: Process Engineering Team Leader
Location: Ink Plant, Kirya Gat
We are looking for an experienced control and instrumentation engineer to be responsible for the design, operation, advice and implementation of new equipment and support the maintenance of the existing equipment. The successful candidate will be able to maintain the control system, act as a ‘first aid’ for software issues, lead upgrades and projects in order to reduce cost by using “out of the box” attitude, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.
What would you do?
To develop, implement, monitor, and maintain efficient manufacturing control and instrumentation equipment and workflow for plant products.
Provide new ideas of manufacturing data i.e. BI, production control, reliability, to improve the process and monitor and measure progress to target.
Be the focal point for any software issues in the control system. Lead the communication with an external software subcontractor.
Develop, configure, and optimize the ink plant control system- reliability, procedures, backup files.
Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes.
Improve continually existing operations, for increased quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings from the control and instrument point of view.
Manage manufacturing documentation required for product manufacturing i.e. calibration, preventive maintenance, equipment guidelines and workmanship standards and process procedures
Identify ways to reduce production costs through recommendations – i.e. new process equipment, equipment justification to improve performance
Train and supervise staff on new technology.
Professional authority in planning teams for new projects.
Requirements:
What should you have?
2-3 years’ experience in a production plant as control and instrumentation engineer.
B.Sc in Engineering – mandatory. M.Sc – an advantage.
Proven experience as a control and instrumentation engineer - Mandatory.
Proven track record and working knowledge in the manufacturing industry.
Good knowledge in lean Manufacturing, six sigma and ISO methodology
Ability to keep track of and report on activity
Experience with PLC & SCADA systems.
Experience in leading projects.
Knowledge and experience in managing schedules, budgets and risk assessment.
Requires good written and spoken English
