We are a leading furniture retailer based in Gort (warehouse) and Craughwell (Shop), Co. Galway, known for our high-quality products and outstanding customer service. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse / Delivery Operative to join our growing team.
Job Description
As a Warehouse / Delivery Operative, you will be an essential part of our operations, responsible for ensuring the smooth handling, storage, and delivery of furniture items to customers. This role involves physically demanding work, requiring the ability to lift, move, and deliver furniture safely and efficiently. You will also assist in managing stock in the warehouse and provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and storing stock: Unloading deliveries, checking for damages, and ensuring items are stored in the correct locations.
Picking and packing orders: Preparing items for delivery, ensuring accuracy and safety.
Furniture delivery: Loading and delivering furniture to customers' homes, ensuring safe handling and assembly when necessary.
Customer interaction: Providing excellent service, handling queries, and ensuring customer satisfaction during deliveries.
Stock control: Monitoring stock levels, assisting with regular inventory checks, and maintaining warehouse organization.
Health and Safety: Following all safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment in the warehouse and during deliveries.

Key Requirements:

Physical fitness: Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture items regularly, as this is a physically demanding role.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but full training will be provided.
Driver's license: A full, clean driving license is essential. B or C.
Customer-focused: Friendly, professional, and able to handle customer inquiries with care.
Attention to detail: Ensuring all deliveries are accurate and stock is handled properly.
Team player: Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members.
