Job Title: Telesales Representative
Reporting to: Telesales Manager
Main duties/responsibilities: The Telesales function is critical processing orders and in supporting the sales function to generate sales and sales leads and to effectively liaise with the team in the field. As a Telesales Representative, you will be processing orders from inbound, online platforms and emails, supporting the sales teams, contacting potential & existing customers by telephone to collect orders and make them aware of promotional lines and introduce new products. Experience of lead generation is also desired. Ability to meet customer expectation and go that ‘extra mile’ to deliver quality customer satisfaction is a pre-requisite of the customer care piece of the role.
Main responsibilities
  • To provide an excellent level of customer service and resolve customer queries, taking ownership of any issues to see them through to the end for all customers.
  • Have the ability to work with our field sales teams and support them from an administrative perspective
  • To work towards building relationships with our customers
  • To take orders from calls, mails and online platform and process on the internal system
  • To make proactive sales calls as agreed with the Telesales Manager
  • To work closely with and support other teams in the business.
  • You will be part of a small team and therefore must be constantly aware of team workload and working practices.
  • To comply with all systems in place both in the office and the warehouse operations
  • To compile reports as may be required within the business.
  • To col call prospective customers with the objective of developing new business leads.
  • To build, maintain and update lead databases on the system.
  • To be the first point of contact for new business enquiries and upgrade enquiries from existing Customers and to log all communication details on the system.
  • To qualify all enquiries and to ensure that only genuine enquiries are passed to the ASM’s.
  • To work closely with ASM’s and provide administration support in developing new business.
  • To work closely with colleagues in service desk to take and log service calls and provide cover when necessary.
Skills Required
  • The ability to provide best in class customer service.
  • Proven track record of telesales.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – particularly phone skills
  • Excellent PC skills – experience using a customer relationship system (preferably JDE) and excel.
  • Capable of working to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Working to sales target.
  • Understanding of the legislation relating to direct marketing where necessary.
  • Ability to work as part of a close-knit team
