We at Comer Group Ireland are looking for a Senior Engineer with experience of residential construction and brickwork facades. You will play a key role in our delivery team on-site. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing their own tasks, and be competent in coordinating facade works, with an eye for accuracy and dimensional control.

Essential for the role:

Minimum 4 years experience with a contractor in Ireland as an engineer or facade manager
Experience of brickwork facades on large projects
Excellent experience with Auto CAD + setting out
Excellent level of English language written and verbal - Minimum C1 level

Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating the building facades ie SFS inner leaf, cement board, insulation, cavity barriers, ventilations grills, balcony stubs and brickwork finishes.
Working closely with our Setting out engineers to ensure that facades are set-out within acceptable tolerances.
Monitor the production of concrete frame as-built surveys by the setting out engineers.
Managing the overall set out and coordination of facade construction, ensuring one activity flows into the next.
Assist programming of the relevant facade work package, and work with the project manager to ensure that material deliveries are planned as required.
Ensuring that all materials and works performed are as per specifications.
Review and comment on the detailed design as it develops.
Highlight technical issues with the design as they arise.
Manage the resolution of problems encountered during the works
Attending site meetings
Ensuring an efficient construction site
