As Senior Manager of Data Governance you will spearhead the Data Governance Workstream, playing a critical leadership role in the payroll and Workforce Management (WFM) system transformation program. This position is integral in shaping the organization’s data governance landscape and will work closely with senior leadership across IT, HR, and external partners to implement a unified and scalable Payroll and WFM Service Delivery Model across multiple European countries.
What you will do:
Lead and own the enterprise-wide data governance strategy for the payroll and WFM transformation program, directly influencing key business decisions and organizational strategy
Establish a data governance vision that supports the organization’s strategic goals, driving innovation and best practices across all data-related functions
Act as a senior advisor to leadership on data governance matters, ensuring that data governance initiatives are prioritized and integrated into broader business strategies
Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy aligned with organizational goals and the enterprise data governance strategy
Develop a roadmap for continuous improvement in data governance practices, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market
Oversee data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance processes
Develop and enforce data security policies and procedures in alignment with enterprise standards.
Establish and enforce a comprehensive data privacy and security framework that not only ensures compliance with global regulations such as GDPR, CCPA
Partner with IT to ensure proper data integration and synchronization
Partner with payroll & WFM teams to validate that the integrated and converted data meets business requirements
Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and guidelines
Lead the change management strategy for data governance, ensuring that data governance principles are deeply integrated into the organizational culture
What you will need:
Bachelor degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred
Data governance or data management certifications (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) are highly desirable.
Min. of 10 years of progressive experience in data governance, data management, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
Proven track record of leading large-scale, global data governance initiatives with significant organizational impact
Experience working in highly regulated industries and managing data governance in multi-country, complex environments
Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices
Strong understanding of master data management principles
Excellent project management and leadership skills
Familiarity with payroll and WFM systems is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
