About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager in Portarlington to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operational requirements and service levels are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and organise teams to meet operational requirements and service levels.
• Identify training needs and implement plans to address them.
• Manage team members to maintain high working standards.
• Solve problems effectively and ensure teams are fully trained and compliant with health and safety policies, including manual handling and fire evacuation procedures.
• Oversee shift Health and Safety issues in line with company guidelines.
• Manage temporary employees by monitoring performance, providing briefings, and motivating them to meet performance criteria.
• Develop and maintain effective local working relationships within company procedures and policies.
• Handle daily reporting and scheduling as necessary.
• Follow and implement company policies and procedures.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

The Successful Candidate Must Have:

• A commercially acceptable level of English (spoken and written).
• Proficiency in computer use (Excel, Email, Reporting platforms, CRM systems).
• At least 3 years of previous management experience.
• Excellent timekeeping and safety awareness.
• Knowledge of Irish geography and specific depot coverage areas.
• Previous experience in the logistics industry.
• Strong problem-solving and people management skills.
• Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Certification.
• Experience in people development.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.

Salary: €35,000 - €40,000
