Introduction:
GALRO have over twenty years’ experience as a leading provider of Social Care and clinical support services in Ireland.
We are currently looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our clinical team.
This role will be based out of our Portarlington office, and will require some travel.

The Occupational Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist and carry out those activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist, in order to assist in their role and to facilitate the provision of an effective and efficient service to service user and their carers.
Location: Portarlington, Co. Laois
Qualification: Minimum of QQI Level 5 (or above) in a healthcare qualification.
Or Relevant Qualification in the field of Health & Social Care
Prior experience in working with people in a healthcare setting.
Demonstrates the following:

Ability to carry out duties related to the planning, organisation and maintenance of the Occupational Therapy programme and department.
Demonstrates ability to follow through independently on work tasks as instructed by an Occupational Therapist.
Has ability and understanding in working with people with complex needs/disabilities and/or behaviour that challenges.
Effective team skills including the ability to work as member of a multidisciplinary team and maintain good working relationships.
Demonstrates their understanding of the Occupational Therapy Department Policies, Procedures and Guidelines that they read and applied them in the daily practice.
