Night Shift Operations Manager
Our client based in Portarlington are currently looking for an Operations Manager for a Night Shift to overlook a small team
The duties of the Operations Manager role include:
Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Previous/current Forklift experience very important.
- Fully hands on in assisting the parcel sorting process
- Previous experience within parcel sorting or similar
- A level of supervisory/team leader experience( ideally within similar environment)
The duties of the Operations Manager role include:
- Plan and organise the teams to ensure that operational requirements and service levels are achieved.
- Identify training needs of team members and implement the plan to resolve
- Manage team members effectively to maintain a high working standard
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ensure that the teams are fully trained and performing in line with their job specification, compliant with company health and safety policy, including (but not limited to) manual handling and fire evacuating procedures.
- Take responsibility for shift Health and Safety issues in conjunction with company Health and Safety guidelines.
- Manage use of temporary employees through close monitoring, briefing and motivation to ensure performance criteria is met.
- Plan contingencies to minimize business risk and ensure that all requirements are continually met.
- Develop and maintain effective local working relationships within the framework of the company’s procedure agreements and associated policies.
- Daily reporting requirements and scheduling as necessary.
- Follow and implement company policies and procedures.
- Ad-hoc duties as necessary
- Have a commercially acceptable level of English (spoken and written)
- Proficient on computers (Excel, Email, Reporting platforms, CRM systems)
- Previous management experience or strong supervisory experience
- Excellent timekeeping
- Safety Awareness
- Knowledge of Irish geography and specifically depot coverage areas
- Previous logistics industry experience
- Problem Solving and People Management experience
- Licence/Certification: Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Certificate
- People development experience
- Time management and organisation skills
- Sunday to Thursday
- Night Shift
- 9pm-6:30am
- €35,000 - €40,000
Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Night shift
