Cleaning Contract Night Manager

OCS is currently looking to recruit a Cleaning Contract Night Manager for the Leinster Region covering Dublin, Drogheda & Portlaoise. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. This is a permanent full-time role, schedule is 3 nights (7pm - 3am) and 2 days. A company van will be provided.
The Cleaning Contract Manager will be responsible for the profitable, efficient and safe operation of cleaning contracts within the Munster Region. The successful candidate will: provide a quality service delivery to all customers in accordance with company procedures through a highly motivated and appropriately trained team of operational support staff, retain existing business whilst meeting relevant growth targets for new business and ensure team development to meet succession planning needs.
This position is also open to applicants with an appropriate level of operational Cleaning experience, a high degree of industry knowledge and the appropriate key attributes required for this role.
Responsibilities
  • To ensure that a safe working environment is maintained through compliance with all company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • To ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and required data collection and analysis.
  • To ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained with the necessary skills and provide all necessary training and development to ensure staff competence in their respective roles.
  • To ensure any HR issues are dealt with in the correct manner, required timescales and in line with Company policies.
  • To ensure monthly Client Quality Audits are completed and submitted within agreed timescales.
  • To ensure weekly reports of client visits are submitted to the Operations Manager.
  • To ensure all rostering is completed on schedule and issued to staff and management.
  • To ensure payroll is received and submitted within the timescales and details of over/under spends reported to the Operations Manager.
  • To ensure any requests by the Operations Manager are responded to and resolved in a timely fashion.
  • To assist accross other divisions of the business as required.
  • To take a direct interest in the health and safety of yourself, your subordinates and others who may be affected by your work activities.
Health & Safety Duties
  • Communicate regularly with staff through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas, and that morale remains high.
  • Ensure all personnel are properly trained to competently carry out their duties and responsibilities as well as ensuring that they acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for safety.
  • Ensure that a safe system of work is produced and communicated to employees prior to the commencement of the work activity.
  • Ensure that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure that work activities are properly managed and supervised.
  • Manage the Occupational Road Risk of the drivers reporting to you.
  • Manage the safety performance of staff and take appropriate action for breaches in accordance with Company Procedure.
  • You will be required to work closely with the Group Health and Safety Team.
  • Ensure that safety initiatives are implemented within your areas of control.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • An autonomous self-starter who will take ownership for a diverse team.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Customer service skills.
  • A resilient and robust nature is essential.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement training programs.
  • Train and develop security personnel.
  • Monitor compliance with laws and policies.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback.
Education and Experience:
  • Significant experience operating within a service sector environment. Experience in the cleaning sector is essential.
  • Proven track record in delivering effective customer service.
  • Previous experience of leading a large, diverse workforce.
  • Thorough working knowledge of current cleaning techniques.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €40,000.00-€42,000.00 per year
