As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for supplying the designated machinery with essential materials, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently supply materials, such as cardboard boxes, plastic bags, and pallets, to the machinery following the correct procedures.
- Keep designated work areas clean, tidy, and free from any potential health and safety hazards.
- Regularly clean the underbody of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor material roll usage on machines and promptly notify relevant personnel when a new roll is needed.
- Safely remove scrap from the machines, placing it in designated containers or pallets, and transporting it to the granulator room.
- Properly stack completed boxes onto pallets according to production sheets.
- Ensure timely delivery of completed pallets to the correct location in the dispatch area.
- Organize the return of boxes, bags, and unused materials to their relevant areas after completing machine orders.
- Maintain product quality by adhering to established quality procedures.
- Promote a clean and orderly work area, ensuring tools, equipment, and materials are appropriately stored.
- Collaborate with team members, working safely and helping others to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any work hazards and take necessary actions to eliminate hazards within your ability.
- Exhibit good attendance and punctuality to support seamless operations.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality.
- Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures for the machinery in use.
- Foster a flexible and collaborative approach, assisting colleagues whenever needed to ensure the department's efficiency.
- Prioritize personal safety and the safety of others, consistently complying with Health & Safety requirements.
