Fitz Scientific is a world class monitoring and testing team, that meet and exceed our customers expectations. Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an additional Laboratory Assistant to join a professional team based in Drogheda, Co. Louth.
Main tasks:

• Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements including PPE usage.
• To perform work as allocated by the Team Lead to the highest quality standards required and to inform the Team Lead in cases of doubtful validity of results.
• To ensure agreed quality systems are continually adhered to such as calibration checks, internal quality controls, daily checks and spiked samples.
• As a member of the team, to ensure the laboratory areas are kept tidy, especially designated areas.
• Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe manner with due regard and compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times with respect to customer information.
• Work with speed and accuracy to complete within customer timeframe.
• Fully comply with all quality requirements in accordance with ISO 17025 quality system.
• Assist with other duties as required.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in laboratory testing would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
• Excellent standards of PC literacy (Word, Excel)
• Analytical and logical approach with a strong eye for detail
• Ability to thrive under pressure and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
