Installation Engineer Our global client, the largest OEM in the Semiconductor industry, with 34,000 employees in 24 countries, are looking to expand their Installation Engineer team who cover tool installations across Europe. These roles work alongside their customers to install, test and calibrate systems before handing over to the service team and moving onto the next project, delivering world-class support for highly advanced production systems. Our client train their Installation Engineers to create and support the technology that the world relies on to manufacture semiconductor chips and related materials, daily. This is a role which involves travel 90% of the time across the European region including but not limited to: France, Italy, Germany and Ireland, with essential training completed abroad in Asia or USA. Responsibilities:
Perform tool installation tasks (mechanical assembly, electrical connections, robot calibrations) independently, from intial setup to final testing, with troubleshooting and problem solving of any possible issues.
Follows all procedures rigidly and ensures correct SOPs and schematics are available prior to performing installations.
Ensure systems are installed as per procedures satisfactorily through testing of equipment with assistance from senior engineers, existing documentation and diagnostic techniques.
Responds to fab issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls.
Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce installation cycle time and costs.
Provide accurate reporting of status, hours worked and non-conformances.
Adhere to the safety and security policy and quality standards of the client and its customers.
Requirements:
Technician, Bachelor’s, or Master' degree in mechanical assembly, equipment installation, maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, electrical, mechanical, or similar technical background.
Some experience or knowledge with CVD/CMP/EPI tools would be an advantage but not required.
Troubleshooting skills to solve mechanical and electrical problems during system installation.
Ability to communicate efficiently through daily pass-downs and equipment status reports.
Project management skills to control installation project within budget, timeline and installation quality requirements.
Ability to work autonomously.
Confident in English to work with colleagues and experts from all over the world and to read plant documentations and schematics. Company language is English.
Good Knowledge of the MS Office (Excel, Power Point)
The position requires extensive travelling throughout Europe, up to 90%.
