Health & Safety Officer
Electrical Rewind Services Ltd is a multi-discipline Electrical company employing 100+ people in various departments of Industrial Electrical Contracting, Motor and Pump Repairs, Power Transmission Sales and Electrical Industrial Installation & Engineering Supplies, with branches in Waterford & Galway.
We are looking for a Group H&S Officer to join our team to support Electrical Contracting division, Service and Repair Workshop and Retail divisions. You will have worked on-site in Construction and or Industrial Electrical Industry for a minimum of 2 years:

• Support the Site Management with Co-ordinating and implementing H&S policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with Legislation & Construction Regulations
• Maintain Health and Safety / Quality regulatory standards: ISO 45001 and ISO 9001
• Ensure Health and Safety on-site systems are running efficiently, while maintaining accurate record keeping and training records
• Run H&S meetings for stakeholders and report on KPIs tracking any non-conformance
• Produce Construction RAMS
• Carry out Site safety inspections audits; establishing corrective action & continuous improvement
• Run regular toolbox talks & working with Managers to raise Safety Awareness Culture
• Run H&S Induction training for new hires, and conduct Health & Safety Training (ideally to include Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, and have Train the Trainer accreditation)
• Conduct accident investigations, and comply with statutory notifications to HSA

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Health & Safety, or Specific award in level 7 (Construction Health & Safety)
• 2 years experience in Site/Construction environment
• Accredited H&S Trainer
• IT Software systems knowledge and Ms/ Office with Excel skills
• GDP / Administrative skills
• Experience in PSDP and PSCS roles for on-site Project Teams is desirable
• Full Clean Driving Licence
