Role Profile

We have an opportunity for a General Operative to join us in our Portlaoise Mill, Co. Laois. Reporting to the Feed Mill Manager, the primary responsibilities of this role will be:
Key areas of responsibilities will include: To carry out plant operational roles as prioritised by the Feed Mill Manager; To provide holiday cover as required across all plant operational functions; To support the production requirements of the Feed mill by working as part of a highly committed and efficient team; Adhering to Company and statutory hygiene, quality, safety and environmental policies and standards;
Communicating and recording data as required; and
Ensuring the plant area is clean and tidy at all times.
This role will involve shift and weekend work and you will be required to be flexible in working hours. On the job training will be provided.

Requirements
2+ years manufacturing experience preferably in a high volume manufacturing environment; Interest and knowledge of feed ingredients and products is a distinct advantage; Flexibility and a positive attitude with a problem solving approach; Willingness to continuously improve and adapt based on business requirements; Experience with working towards established KPI’s and LEAN principles; Experience in operating within, and delivering on, the highest quality standards in the manufacturing sector; Good PC skills and a strong technical ability to understand plant and processes; Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work well under pressure; Ability to cope with multiple tasks and priorities in a fast moving environment.
