Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the collection, transportation, and disposal of waste materials from residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
- Sort and segregate recyclable materials to ensure proper disposal.
- Load and unload waste from collection vehicles or containers.
- Operate hand tools, equipment, and machinery used in waste management.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Support the team in routine maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed by supervisors.
- Requirements:
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Work Ethic: Punctual, reliable, and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of health and safety regulations, especially in waste management operations.
- Full Clean Driver’s License required.
- Previous experience in waste management, construction, or general labour is an asset but not required – on-the-job training will be provided.
- Willingness to work early mornings or overtime as needed.
