Job Title: General Assistant
Location: Flannerys Nursing Home
Summary:
As a General Assistant at Flannerys Nursing Home, you will play a vital role in providing support within the Kitchen, Laundry, and Cleaning departments. You will work various shifts as per the published roster and report to the Person in Charge (PIC), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), or Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) as delegated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in kitchen duties such as serving, and cleaning.
- Support the Laundry department by sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothes.
- Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with established protocols to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the facility.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure the well-being of residents and staff.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude while interacting with residents, their families, and fellow team members.
- Adhere to regulations and guidelines set forth by the nursing home and relevant authorities.
- Report any issues or concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in similar role preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
- Understanding of basic kitchen and cleaning procedures is a plus.
Work Environment:
- The position may require standing for extended periods and moderate weights.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures in the kitchen and laundry areas.
- The work environment may involve interacting with residents who have specific care needs.
Reporting Line:
The General Assistant will report to the Person in Charge (PIC), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), or Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) as designated by the nursing home management.
Schedule:
Shifts will be assigned based on the published roster and may include weekends as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €13.00 per hour
