Deputy Centre Manager, Tralee Residential Services (39 hrs per week)
Post: Deputy Centre Manager Contract: Specified Purpose, Full-Time (39 hrs per week) Location: Tralee Residential Services Roster: Mon: 07:30 - 20:00 / Tues 07:30 - 16:00 Wed: 07:30 - 17:00 / Fri: 07:30 - 16:00 *Rosters may be subject to change due to the Operational requirements of the service* The Role: Tralee Residential Services consists of three houses, supporting 11 residents with significant changing needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Health/Nursing or Social Care professional or equivalent.
Your role will be to assist in the leadership, management and development of services supporting adults with an Intellectual Disability.
You will work directly with the Centre Manager to organise and control the resources allocated for the successful implementation of the Association’s policies and the day to day management of the Tralee Residential Services.
Essential Criteria:
A relevant recognised Level 7 or above Health/Nursing or Social Care qualification.
Or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Social Care Worker Registration Board, CORU.
Candidates, must be eligible for registration on the Social Care Workers registration board with CORU from November 2023, must obtain such registration by November 2025 and must maintain such registration for the duration of employment in this role.
OR
Are registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
Candiates must have a minimum four years’ experience of supporting adults with an intellectual disability post qualification in a residential setting or related area.
At least 3 years relevant experience in an operational management capacity, which must include the supervision of staff and volunteers.
A health or a management related 3rd level qualification on the Quality & Qualifications (QQI) framework is desirable.
Strong organisational and administration skills.
Strong IT skills relating to standard Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge of HIQA Regulations, Disability Act 2005; Health and Safety Legislation; Data Protection & GDPR.
A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for business purposes and must be willing to drive Association vehicles is essential.
Where applicable, applicants must hold a valid Irish work permit.
