Catering Assistant and Relief Cook
Catering/Kitchen assistant required for busy Kitchen in Sacred Heart Nursing Home.
Training will be provided for the following role.

Training will be provided for the following role.
- General kitchen and dining room duties including washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables.
- Cleaning of the kitchen surrounds and equipment to include all work surfaces, dining furniture, floors and walls.
- The transferring of meals to the dining room or residents room as requested
- Put drinks in sitting rooms.
- Duties as delegated by the chef on duty.
- To assist the chef in the preparation of meals if required such as: chopping vegetables, pealing potatoes, making tea/coffee etc.
- Follow the kitchen-cleaning schedule as prepared by the Director of Nursing and the chef.
- To highlight to the chef, any shortfall in the service and suggestions as to how to overcome them
- All necessary paperwork must be completed.
- Ensuring stock is clean and tidy at all times.
- Check Pest Control report and carryout any requirements.
- Receive and check all deliveries as requested.
- Attend all training sessions as set out by the Director of Nursing.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Liaise with Chef
- Be alert to elder abuse.
- Be courteous and supportive to colleagues.
- To undertake the Health & Safety responsibilities which fall within your role and the personal Health &Safety responsibilities within the Nursing Home.
- Flexible working hours
- On-site parking

- Day shift
- co. Kilkenny, Kilkenny, CO. Kilkenny: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
