Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated BIM Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The BIM Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting BIM workflows across our design teams and will be responsible for organizing and communicating BIM technical information to our project teams. This role requires a deep understanding of BIM technologies and the ability to effectively relay technology solutions to architecture, engineering, and construction professionals.
Primary Job Duties
Coordinate BIM Activities: Manage technology-related activities across various projects, ensuring smooth integration and execution.
BIM Strategy Participation: Contribute to project-based BIM strategies and support the development of the BIM Execution Plan.
Production Support: Guide BIM production support, including project model setup, file export, model coordination, and deliverables.
ACC Administration: Oversee administration duties for the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) platform.
Model Audits: Conduct regular audits on authoring models to maintain quality and compliance.
Model Integration: Integrate with design and construction teams to review trade contractor models, shop drawings, and reality capture data, and adapt design models as needed for construction purposes.
Standards Adherence: Ensure milestone models comply with internal and client-specific standards as outlined in the BIM Execution Plan.
Clash Management: Manage and resolve clash issues on projects effectively.
Software Knowledge and Capabilities:
Proficiency in BIM authoring platforms (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Plant3D) or similar.
Familiarity with API tools and design/engineering automation tools like Dynamo.
Experience with collaboration and data management solutions (e.g., Project Wise, ACC, Revizto, Navisworks).
Competence in using markup and design review tools (e.g., Bluebeam).
Knowledge of BIM-enabled quantity take off and estimating tools.
Awareness of BIM usage throughout the building life cycle.
Proven experience in BIM model management and workflows in project delivery.
Ability to provide BIM leadership and technical support to project teams.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of BIM experience in facility design and construction.
Industry BIM Certification is preferred.
Experience with ACC administration is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to motivate professionals, external partners, and direct reports.
Strong leadership skills: articulate, diplomatic, ethical, and dedicated.
Passionate about BIM, IPD, Lean methodologies, and collaboration.
Candidates must possess a current work permit for Ireland.
