Accounts Assistant
Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland’s largest Irish owned consultants with centres of excellence in Civil Infrastructure, Waste & Resource Management and Renewables. FT currently has a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant reporting to the Financial Controller in our Cork office.

Key Responsibilities
- Bank, Credit Card & Petty Cash Reconciliations and posting.
- Assist with Monthly Management Accounts preparation along with month end and quarterly reporting.
- Accounts Payable (matching Purchase Invoices with Purchase Orders prior to processing and making payments, allocating payments and reconciling supplier statements on a regular basis.
- Manage Staff Expense Claims.
- Assisting with Sales Invoicing.
- Liaise with Project Managers to ensure accurate monitoring and control of budgets for the financial management of projects.
- Month end journal preparation and posting.
- Ad hoc duties to be performed as and when required.
- Qualified Accounting Technician/part-qualified Accountant desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of SAGE 200 is necessary.
- Knowledge of Project Accounting system would be an advantage but not necessary.
- The candidate should be a high-energy individual with excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Excel
- Key attributes also necessary include efficient work methods, working both as part of a team and on own initiative and good interpersonal skills.
