RnD/ Product Development - Furniture and Homeware
General requirement:
· Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of product development processes, including technical specifications, product design, material selection, and sample quality assessment. Familiarity with furniture and homeware industry standards is preferred.
· Accuracy:
Exceptional attention to detail when reviewing and assessing product samples, ensuring that all client specifications and quality standards are met without errors.
· Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines are met, and all parties (suppliers, clients, internal teams) are well-coordinated throughout the product development process.
· Adaptability:
Flexibility to handle changes in client requirements, supplier delays, or other unforeseen challenges, while maintaining a positive and solution-oriented approach.
Job Description
· Sample Management and Coordination:
Oversee the creation and development of product samples with suppliers, ensuring that specifications are followed, and any revisions are accurately communicated to both clients and suppliers.
· Client and Supplier Communication:
Serve as the liaison between clients and suppliers, ensuring all product development needs, sample requests, revisions, and approvals are managed in a timely and efficient manner.
· Sample Quality Control and Assessment:
Review and assess product samples for quality, functionality, and alignment with client requirements. Coordinate necessary adjustments or improvements based on client feedback.
· Product Documentation:
Prepare and manage all relevant documentation for product samples, including technical specifications, product drawings, and packaging instructions to ensure clear communication with suppliers.
· Client Approval Process:
Manage the end-to-end process of submitting samples for client approval, ensuring that all modifications and feedback are incorporated, and final samples are sent to clients for review.
· Supplier Coordination and Follow-up:
Work closely with suppliers to monitor sample production timelines, troubleshoot delays, and ensure that samples are delivered on time and according to client requirements.
· Reporting and Updates:
Provide regular updates to management on the status of product development, sample approvals, and any challenges encountered during the process.
Job Type: Full-time
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in product development, preferably in the furniture or homeware industry.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with both clients and suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in product design software (Auto CAD 2D & 3D, Coreldraw & Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite.
