What You Will Do:

What You Will Do:
- Coordinate with the procurement team to source and secure raw materials required for footwear production, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Develop material forecasts based on production schedules, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet production demands without overstocking.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials to prevent production delays.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control (QC) team to assess and approve incoming materials based on established quality standards.
- Ensure all materials comply with product specifications and industry standards, addressing any discrepancies with suppliers.
- Track material quality issues and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
- Manage material inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock to avoid shortages or excess.
- Implement inventory control practices, conducting regular audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and efficiency in material handling.
- Maintain accurate records of material usage, purchases, and inventory levels in the system.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, prices, and delivery schedules.
- Continuously assess supplier performance, exploring new suppliers as needed to ensure reliability and quality.
- Work closely with the production planning, procurement, and logistics teams to align material availability with production schedules.
- Participate in production meetings to provide material status updates and address any potential supply risks or issues.
- Support Sample Development in material selection and testing for new products and innovations.
- Monitor and control material costs, finding opportunities for savings without compromising quality.
- Provide regular reports on material usage, inventory levels, and supplier performance to management.
- Ensure that all materials are sourced in compliance with environmental regulations, ethical standards, and company sustainability policies.
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in material management, procurement, or supply chain in footwear manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of material sourcing, procurement processes, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and standards for footwear materials.
- Proficient in supply chain software and inventory management systems (e.g., ERP systems).
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Initiative to continuously improve processes and find cost-saving opportunities.
- Familiarity with global material suppliers and markets in the footwear industry.
