We are currently seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to our customers. Your primary role will involve delivering orders promptly, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, such as a van or truck, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring that they are securely placed and handled with care.
- Plan and follow the most efficient route for each delivery, considering traffic and road conditions.
- Verify and review delivery orders, ensuring that all items match the customer's requirements.
- Collect payments from customers, issue receipts, and maintain proper cash handling procedures, if required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, signatures, and any discrepancies.
- Inspect the delivery vehicle regularly, report any maintenance issues, and ensure it is clean and in good working condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering customer inquiries, addressing concerns, and resolving any delivery-related issues.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely and efficient service.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with local roads and neighborhoods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages, if required.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and upkeep.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
