Lead generation: Use research, cold calls, and sales pitches to generate leads and identify potential customers' needs
Sales: Use persuasion skills to sell, upsell, and cross-sell products or services
Customer relationships: Build and maintain relationships with customers, including addressing issues, providing information, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling
Record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of sales leads, customer interactions, and performance
Sales reports: Create and manage customer accounts, and generate daily activity reports
Customer service: Follow up with customers after closing a sale to ensure they are satisfied, and document feedback to improve services
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot problems customers have with products or services
Complaints: Collate lists of frequent complaints or questions from customers and pass them along to relevant departments
