Job description for Site Security Officer Desired Candidate Profile
Recognized Degree or Diploma in any branch of Engineering with a preference given to Certification / Diploma in Industrial Safety. (from any Indian institutes recognized by AICTE or state Council of Tech. Education of any Indian State) with practical experience of working in a building construction site as Safety Officer for a period of not less than five years.
Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
Proven experience in a safety-related role, in a building construction site.
Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices for a construction site.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety programs and policies in compliance with regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and assess risks.
Collaborate with management to establish safety goals and objectives for the site.
Provide safety training and orientation to new employees, contractors, and visitors.
Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safe work practices.
Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents and analyze data to identify trends.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios.
Conduct drills and exercises to test emergency response procedures.
Promote a culture of safety and accountability among employees.
Communicate safety-related information and updates to employees through various channels.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
