Job Title: Ship Engine Mechanic
Job Summary:
Maintain, repair, and operate ship engines and mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on ship engines, pumps, gears, and other mechanical equipment.
2. Troubleshoot engine problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
3. Monitor and control engine performance.
4. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:
1. Technical knowledge of marine engines and mechanical systems.
2. 2+ years of experience in ship engine maintenance and repair.
3. Certification or licensing (USCG, IMO, STCW, etc.).
4. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions.
Work Environment:
1. Ship engine rooms, deck areas, and machinery spaces.
2. Varying temperatures, noise levels, and humidity.
3. Work at sea or in port, with varying schedules and shifts.
Education and Training:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Post-secondary education in marine engineering or mechanical engineering.
3. Completion of apprenticeships or on-the-job training programs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
