Job summary: V-Mart is seeking a dynamic and experienced TOT (Training of Trainers) Certified Retail Trainer to join our team for the DDU-GKY project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality retail training to rural youth, helping them develop the skills required for employment in the retail sector. This role requires adherence to National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) guidelines and is focused on empowering students to succeed in the retail industry. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver structured training programs as per NSDC and Sector Skill Council (SSC) standards in the field of retail.
Develop training schedules, lesson plans, and classroom activities to ensure efficient learning outcomes.
Conduct practical training sessions in a retail environment to provide hands-on experience.
Use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, workshops, and demonstrations, to engage learners.
Monitor and assess the progress of each trainee and provide feedback for improvement.
Maintain detailed records of trainees' performance and ensure their readiness for final assessments and placements.
Guide and mentor trainees on retail industry standards, best practices, and career development.
Work closely with the project team to meet project targets and adhere to the DDU-GKY guidelines.
Stay updated on industry trends and NSDC compliance requirements to ensure training relevance and quality.
Skills and Qualifications:
TOT Certification: Must be TOT certified under NSDC (Retail Sector) as per NSDC/SSC norms.
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in retail training or retail operations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; preference for candidates with retail-specific qualifications.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of retail industry processes, customer service, and inventory management.
Ability to work in a rural environment and relate well to rural youth.
Proficiency in English and local languages.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in skill development projects, particularly DDU-GKY or similar government initiatives.
Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and training tools.
Willingness to travel to rural project locations as needed
