Job Summary: V Mart Retail is seeking an experienced IT Trainer to join the DDU-GKY skill development project. The IT Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality training in information technology to empower rural youth with the necessary skills for employability in the retail industry. This role involves providing hands-on IT education, ensuring job readiness, and guiding students through their certification process. Key Responsibilities:
IT Training Delivery:
Teach basic and intermediate IT skills such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), internet navigation, digital literacy, and retail-specific applications (e.g., Point of Sale (POS) systems).
Conduct engaging classroom and practical training sessions tailored to the retail industry.
Use interactive methods and real-life scenarios to make IT learning relevant to retail operations.
Curriculum Implementation:
Deliver the prescribed DDU-GKY IT curriculum, ensuring it aligns with retail industry standards and practices.
Customize lessons as needed to address specific learner needs and industry demands.
Introduce students to new digital tools used in the retail sector, including customer relationship management (CRM) systems and inventory software.
Student Engagement & Support:
Guide students through practical assignments, IT exercises, and projects that build job-ready skills.
Provide additional support and individual coaching to students who may struggle with concepts.
Encourage participation and build a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Progress Monitoring & Assessment:
Monitor student attendance, engagement, and overall progress throughout the course.
Conduct assessments, both written and practical, to evaluate learning outcomes.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
Prepare students for final DDU-GKY certification examinations.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with other trainers, such as English and soft skills instructors, to ensure a holistic learning experience.
Work closely with project coordinators to ensure compliance with DDU-GKY reporting and documentation requirements.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, assessment results, and student feedback.
Ensure timely submission of all reports required by the DDU-GKY project guidelines.
Industry Updates:
Stay informed about current trends in IT and the retail industry.
Update training content as needed to reflect the latest developments in technology and retail operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an IT Trainer, preferably in a vocational training or retail setting.
Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of MS Office, basic internet operations, and familiarity with retail software (POS, CRM, etc.).
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms.
Experience working with youth from rural or disadvantaged backgrounds is an advantage.
Prior experience with the DDU-GKY or other skill development programs will be considered a plus.
