Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase cum PPIC Specialist to join our team in the pharmaceutical industry. This role is responsible for managing procurement activities as well as overseeing production planning and inventory control for primary and secondary packing materials. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical sector, demonstrating expertise in ensuring timely availability of materials and efficient production processes. Key Responsibilities:
Procurement:
Manage the procurement process for primary and secondary packing materials, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Monitor inventory levels and forecast material requirements to prevent shortages or excesses.
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
Production Planning:
Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure alignment between supply and production requirements.
Inventory Control:
Oversee inventory, including stock levels, storage conditions, and expiration tracking.
Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, inventory levels, and production schedules.
Prepare reports and documentation as required by management and regulatory bodies.
Continuous Improvement:
Coordinate opportunities for process improvements in procurement, planning, and inventory management.
Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor’s degree any filed, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a purchase or PPIC role within the pharmaceutical industry.
In-depth knowledge of primary and secondary packing materials and processes.
Strong negotiation skills and experience with supplier management.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical packaging and inventory.
