Job Summary: The Academic Coordinator for Pre-Primary is responsible for overseeing the academic curriculum and instructional strategies for early childhood education. This role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and administration to ensure a nurturing, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
Design and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards.
Regularly review and update curricular materials to incorporate best practices in early childhood education.
Teacher Support and Development:
Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities for pre-primary educators.
Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to enhance teaching practices.
Assessment and Evaluation:
Develop and oversee assessment tools to evaluate student progress and program effectiveness.
Analyze assessment data to inform instructional strategies and curriculum improvements.
Parental Engagement:
Foster strong communication with parents and guardians to support student learning and development.
Organize workshops and informational sessions for parents on early childhood education topics.
Program Administration:
Assist in the administration of budgets and resources for the pre-primary program.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies related to early childhood education.
Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other academic coordinators and staff to promote a cohesive educational experience across grades.
Participate in school committees and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with leadership experience preferred.
Strong understanding of child development theories and practices.
