Placement Officer
Job Title: Placement Officer – Computer Training Institute Location: Laketown, Kolkata Job Type: Full-time Job Summary:
The Placement Officer is responsible for coordinating and managing the placement activities of the institute to ensure students find suitable employment opportunities upon completion of their training programs. The role involves developing relationships with companies, organizing campus recruitment activities, and providing career counseling to students to prepare them for interviews.
Key Responsibilities:
Placement Coordination:
Develop and execute a placement strategy to ensure high placement rates for students.
Liaise with corporate partners and employers to create job opportunities for students.
Organize campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and walk-in interviews.
Industry Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with local, national, and international companies.
Identify and approach new companies to establish connections for placement tie-ups.
Conduct employer satisfaction surveys and work towards improving the placement process.
Student Career Counseling:
Guide students in resume preparation, interview techniques, and career planning.
Conduct workshops and training sessions on soft skills, group discussions, and aptitude tests.
Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to help students overcome career-related challenges.
Placement Tracking and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of student placement data and prepare reports on placement statistics.
Follow up with students post-placement to ensure their satisfaction with the employment.
Keep track of industry trends to align placement activities with market requirements.
Alumni Engagement:
Maintain relationships with alumni to leverage their networks for placement opportunities.
Organize alumni interaction sessions to help current students understand industry expectations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferably in HR, Management, or related fields).
2-3 years of experience in placement coordination, career counseling, or HR recruitment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships with employers.
Knowledge of the IT industry and current employment trends.
Proficiency in MS Office and job portal management.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a training institute or educational environment.
Familiarity with resume screening and interview evaluation techniques.
Good presentation skills for conducting workshops and training sessions.
