Pharmacist
Key Responsibilities
1. Dispensing Medications: Fill prescriptions, ensure accuracy and provide patient counseling.
2. Patient Consultation: Offer health and wellness advice, monitor medication adherence and identify potential interactions.
3. Medication Management: Review patient profiles, optimize therapy and minimize adverse effects.
4. Collaboration: Work with physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
5. Inventory Management: Maintain medication stock, track inventory and order supplies.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to laws, regulations and professional standards.
7. Continuing Education: Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements, research and guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Professional Certification: Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree and state licensure.
2. Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of pharmacology, therapeutics and disease management.
3. Communication: Excellent interpersonal, patient counseling and conflict resolution skills.
4. Analytical: Ability to evaluate patient data, identify issues and optimize therapy.
5. Organizational: Efficient time management, prioritization and delegation.
6. Technical: Proficiency in pharmacy software, automated dispensing systems and electronic health records.
