Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions to patients and their families, addressing emotional and psychological concerns related to fertility treatments.
- Offer support and guidance to patients before, during, and after their fertility treatment process.
- Educate patients about the various aspects of fertility treatment, including the medical procedures, potential outcomes, and emotional impacts.
- Develop personalized coping strategies to help patients manage stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions and patient interactions.
- Conduct assessments to identify patients' emotional needs and provide appropriate interventions.
- Facilitate support groups and workshops for patients and their partners.
- Stay updated on the latest research and developments in fertility counselling and mental health.
- Advocate for patients' needs and ensure they receive comprehensive care and support throughout their treatment.
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensed or certified Nursing with relevant credentials.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a counselling role, preferably within a healthcare or fertility setting.
- Strong understanding of the emotional and psychological aspects of fertility treatment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic and compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in reproductive health or infertility counselling.
- Knowledge of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and related procedures.
