We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable IVF Centre Counsellor to join our team and provide emotional and psychological support to our patients. Job Description: Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counselling sessions to patients and their families, addressing emotional and psychological concerns related to fertility treatments.
Offer support and guidance to patients before, during, and after their fertility treatment process.
Educate patients about the various aspects of fertility treatment, including the medical procedures, potential outcomes, and emotional impacts.
Develop personalized coping strategies to help patients manage stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges.
Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions and patient interactions.
Conduct assessments to identify patients' emotional needs and provide appropriate interventions.
Facilitate support groups and workshops for patients and their partners.
Stay updated on the latest research and developments in fertility counselling and mental health.
Advocate for patients' needs and ensure they receive comprehensive care and support throughout their treatment.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
Licensed or certified Nursing with relevant credentials.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a counselling role, preferably within a healthcare or fertility setting.
Strong understanding of the emotional and psychological aspects of fertility treatment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathetic and compassionate approach to patient care.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in reproductive health or infertility counselling.
Knowledge of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and related procedures.
