Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation:
- Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project requirements.
- Design Development:
- Create innovative design concepts, mood boards, and spatial layouts.
- Prepare detailed drawings, 3D renderings, and material boards to communicate design ideas.
- Research and select materials, furnishings, lighting, and finishes that align with the project’s vision.
- Project Management:
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Oversee the construction and installation process to ensure design intent is realized.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring that designs are delivered within scope.
- Technical Documentation:
- Prepare technical drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software (Auto CAD, Revit, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Client Relations & Presentation:
- Present design proposals and concepts to clients, incorporating feedback to refine designs.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on design choices and practical considerations.
- Trend Research:
- Stay updated on design trends, materials, and emerging technologies.
- Incorporate sustainable and innovative design solutions when possible.
- Vendor Coordination:
- Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and furnishings.
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors to ensure the best pricing and quality.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in interior design, preferably in commercial, residential, or exhibition projects.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in design software such as Auto CAD, Sketch Up, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, color theory, and materials.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client presentations and team collaboration.
- Problem-Solving: Strong creative problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous work in relevant design fields.
- Occasional site visits and meetings with clients and contractors.
- Ability to travel locally depending on project requirements.
- Flexibility to work extra hours when needed to meet project deadlines.
